Rosario Martel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. AC Papicho's Egun Lisundia quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Elvio Vásquez, made in the 40th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Hans-Jürgen Pötscher didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gianluca Lapadula went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Sergio Agüero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexander Shaw read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Sergio Agüero ran back to his position shaking his head. AC Papicho's Alexander Shaw proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save AC Papicho from getting a goal against them. In the 93rd minute of the game Antonio Florian made a throw-in which Papi Davee played forward.
