An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Terra in the 31st minute of play forced Carrapichel da shopee FC's goalkeeper Dorian Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Misericordia EC's Paulo Leão got control of the ball when Gilberto Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Sousa got free with Paulo Leão in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute Gilberto Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.
