Maia AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Liberato was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fedele Zara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fedele Zara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Liberato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Augusto Presutti made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Macena. Maia AC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Eugenio Troiani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Macena having to interfere. Fedele Zara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Liberato in the 32nd minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Beppe Ronconi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Pedro Macena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Macena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Troiani in the 41st minute of the match. When Maia AC's Noel Liberato in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dorgagnano AF's goalie prevented a goal. Maia AC's Noel Liberato was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 47th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damiano Coccia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Noel Liberato's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fedele Zara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Fedele Zara came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Maia AC's Noel Liberato. But to his dismay, Noel Liberato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. A collision led to Dorgagnano AF getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Damiano Coccia hit a great ball. Maia AC's Pedro Macena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Maia AC from getting a goal against them. If Noel Liberato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Troiani in the 72nd minute of play forced Maia AC's goalkeeper Pedro Macena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th match minute, Maia AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Sobral to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Maia AC's Pedro Macena got control of the ball when Augusto Presutti tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute Eugenio Troiani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Macena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Dorgagnano AF getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Beppe Ronconi hit a great ball. Fedele Zara didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Maia AC's Noel Liberato shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-2 in the ordered_time% minute. After 85 minutes, Beppe Ronconi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dorgagnano AF and the Maia AC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Dorgagnano AF getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Beppe Ronconi hit a great ball. Dorgagnano AF's Fedele Zara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Liberato in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dorgagnano AF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rafael Luz was slow to take the kick. During this time Maia AC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Maia AC's Romão Vasconcelos to fire away a dangerous shot which Fedele Zara despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Noel Liberato scored 4-2 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fedele Zara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maia AC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
