Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şevket Çağa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zac Ba Loua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şevket Çağa to maneuver through the defense. Pankracy Glogowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zac Ba Loua in the 15th minute of the match. In the 24th minute of the match, Marcos Berdoi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paulo de Mendonça saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's zone, Marcos Berdoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo de Mendonça came out of the goal and Marcos Berdoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabo D Agostino in the 27th minute of play. With a little luck, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Paulo de Mendonça got control of the ball when Eustaquio Jaizki tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şevket Çağa in the 35th minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Paulo de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Şevket Çağa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Paulo de Mendonça made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustaquio Jaizki got free with Paulo de Mendonça in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulo de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Berdoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 42 minutes, Marcos Berdoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Atlanta and the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şevket Çağa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Şevket Çağa made a kick off.
