Niklas Sauter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zac Ba Loua in the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Thomás do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sabo D Agostino during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Holger Knoche kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Paulo de Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Rio Verde F.C CIMZ from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andy Zeyer got free with Paulo de Mendonça in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. booed when Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomás do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Andy Zeyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo de Mendonça having to interfere. The referee ignored SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s protests and gave Niko Schulz a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Niko Schulz. In the 46th minute, Luizinho Neves sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Niklas Sauter didn't even have to move. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Holger Knoche made a kick off. Paulo de Mendonça came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Holger Knoche. But to his dismay, Holger Knoche quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After a rather tough play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Almir Vargas got a free kick in the 66th minute. Andy Zeyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
