Marcos Ranolfo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 8 minutes into the game, Flavio Iraunkor threw the ball into play from the sideline. Argentina's Leonel Bastiaro quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Paolo-César Maldini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Ranolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Naelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 18th minute, Benedicto Naelio made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Ranolfo. Estudiantes de América's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The supporters of Estudiantes de América booed when Argentina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Urtsin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute Benedicto Naelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Ranolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Concetto Trasatti made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Argentina's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Beltza came free, but Lev Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Marcos Ranolfo. Argentina's Lev Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Beltza in the 90th minute of play. Marcos Ranolfo made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Loco Durazno sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Marcos Ranolfo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Marcos Ranolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loco Durazno in the 94th minute of play. Marcos Ranolfo made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Loco Durazno sent off a good shot on target. Loco Durazno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Marcos Ranolfo made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 99 minutes, Marcos Ranolfo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match was over Argentina could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Estudiantes de América throughout the match.
