After having played for 7 minutes, Sven-Edvin Unesson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fulham Broadway FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Edvin Unesson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Börje Blomqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Talavera in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolf Nordstedt in the 28th minute of play forced FC Blåvitt's goalkeeper Jarl Bredberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Edvin Unesson got free with Jarl Bredberg in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fulham Broadway FC were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after FC Blåvitt's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sixten Norberg took the corner. The corner led Fulham Broadway FC's Göran Abrahamsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Jarl Bredberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gil Talavera took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Börje Blomqvist. Börje Blomqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Fulham Broadway FC's Rudolf Bergqvist quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Viktor Åkesson, made in the 40th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolf Nordstedt in the 41st minute of play forced FC Blåvitt's goalkeeper Jarl Bredberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 minutes, Aydemir Kerem mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Blåvitt and the Fulham Broadway FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th match minute, FC Blåvitt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aydemir Kerem to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rudolf Nordstedt in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jarl Bredberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gil Talavera made a kick off. Jarl Bredberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Edvin Unesson in the 53rd minute of the match. Stig Fredriksson kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After 55 played minutes, Fulham Broadway FC's Sixten Norberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jarl Bredberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fulham Broadway FC reached it. Börje Blomqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gil Talavera in the 57th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Sven-Edvin Unesson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jarl Bredberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gil Talaveras short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Börje Blomqvist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gil Talavera's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Börje Blomqvist firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Blåvitt's goalkeeper Jarl Bredberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Börje Blomqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Öberg in the 78th minute of play. Rudolf Nordstedt hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Aydemir Kerem from long distance, 82 minutes into the match, got Börje Blomqvist's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jarl Bredberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Unesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 94th minute, Viktor Åkesson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jarl Bredberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudolf Nordstedt in the 95th minute of play.

FC Blåvitt's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
