The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Trancoso in the 4th minute of play forced Hummerfiskarna's goalkeeper Holger Mattsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrea De Toro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Ekrot having to interfere. In the 7th match minute, Vykans Vikingar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Indalecio to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Andrea De Toro made a precise shot to the right of Marcus Ekrot. Vykans Vikingar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Marcus Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrea De Toro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the game, Hummerfiskarna's Andrea De Toro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcus Ekrot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea De Toro in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute Leonardo Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrea De Toro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea De Toro in the 28th minute of play. Holger Mattsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mats Hermansson in the 32nd minute of the match. Andrea De Toro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Marcus Ekrot made a huge save. In the 41st minute Abdi Revis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Holger Mattsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mats Hermansson went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When Martin Mutumba fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vykans Vikingar's protests and gave Martin Mutumba a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hummerfiskarna booed when Vykans Vikingar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Mutumba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnaldo Queirós was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Mats Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Vykans Vikingar's Leonardo Trancoso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Holger Mattsson. Holger Mattsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Vykans Vikingar made a substitution. Simon Brolin replaced Hugo Eden. 61 minutes into the game, Jose Indalecio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vykans Vikingar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hummerfiskarna the free kick. In the 62nd minute, Arnaldo Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcus Ekrot was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Holger Mattsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdi Revis, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After a rather tough play, Vykans Vikingar's Jose Indalecio got a free kick in the 71st minute. Jose Indalecio kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Hummerfiskarna's Arnaldo Queirós sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcus Ekrot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 78 minutes Vykans Vikingar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Florin Răducioiu who took care of the corner kick. Hummerfiskarna's Florin Răducioiu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcus Ekrot in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 80th minute Nils-Åke Lagerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hummerfiskarna's Arnaldo Queirós in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vykans Vikingar's goalie prevented a goal. Holger Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Hermansson in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute Börje Stål shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Holger Mattsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Börje Stål's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. When Vykans Vikingar's Börje Stål, in the 87th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Vykans Vikingar. In the 89th minute of the match, Abdi Revis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Holger Mattsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 91 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus Ekrot. Vykans Vikingar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnaldo Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils-Åke Lagerberg in the 94th minute of play. Hummerfiskarna were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Vykans Vikingar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Florin Răducioiu took the corner. After taking down the ball on Hummerfiskarna's corner Florin Răducioiu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcus Ekrot quite easily take care of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vykans Vikingar players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hummerfiskarna.
