Kamal Pahlevi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kamal Pahlevi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olívio Ribas in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olívio Ribas in the 39th minute of play forced Tirant lo Blanch's goalkeeper Kamal Pahlevi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fumo Alto made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Tirant lo Blanch's Iván Arraz. In the 45th minute Leonard Treppa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Long Gang Sen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tirant lo Blanch's goalkeeper Kamal Pahlevi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 48 minutes Tirant lo Blanch's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gusmão Benevides who took care of the corner kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonard Treppa made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Tirant lo Blanch's goalkeeper Kamal Pahlevi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olívio Ribas. Fumo Alto made in the 57th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Olívio Ribas. Iván Arraz hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Olívio Ribas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kamal Pahlevi was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Leonard Treppa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Long Gang Sen having to make a save. Tirant lo Blanch were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after FC Fura Balizas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pitin Vallejo took the corner. FC Fura Balizas's Cassiano Peralta managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jefferson Pinheiro in the 93 minute of the game.

With new strength the players walked out on the field for the first half of overtime. Eugeniusz Sanocki in FC Fura Balizas was the one to initiate the kick off. Vicente Madruga kicked well hit freekick during the 102nd minute of the match. 104 minutes into the match, FC Fura Balizas's goal looked a bit too open when Carmen Paniagua came free, but Long Gang Sen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 105th minute of the game Cassiano Peralta made a throw-in which Jânio Novaes played forward. Long Gang Sen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carmen Paniagua's shot from short distance in the 109th minute. FC Fura Balizas's Vicente Madruga managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jefferson Pinheiro in the 113 minute of the game. With the score at 2-2, the referee blew for the end of the half. The players got a few minutes to recover before they had to start the second half of extra-time.

Everyone could clearly see that both Tirant lo Blanch's and FC Fura Balizas's players was becoming tired in their legs when Tirant lo Blanch's Carmen Paniagua did the kick off in the second half of the overtime. 126 minutes into the match, Carmen Paniagua had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Long Gang Sen. FC Fura Balizas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carmen Paniagua was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tirant lo Blanch had won after a very even match.
