Manchester United FC made a substitution. Pietari Puhakainen replaced Eero Uusipaavalniemi. After 92 played minutes Manchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Eero Uusipaavalniemi. In the 93rd minute, Aarre Uusiniemi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neither team could find the winning goal during normal time. The second half finished 2-2. Extra-time would have to be played.

After the break the players went out on the field to play the first half of overtime with revived energy in their legs. Ogro F.C.'s Marco Minnemann started the play with the initial kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicko McBrain in the 99th minute of play forced Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Patrick Matorin fell near the penalty area in the 102nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ogro F.C.'s protests and gave Patrick Matorin a yellow card for diving instead. Patrick Matorin hit a great freekick 102 minutes into the match. Ogro F.C.'s Alysson Rezende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 103rd minute of the match, managed to save Ogro F.C. from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicko McBrain got free with Edwin van der Sar in the 133rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With neither of the teams able to find a winning goal, the match would be decided by penalties!

The goalkeeper, Alysson Rezende, was totally fooled by Manchester United FC's Taisto Pentsinen, who 138 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The score was 4-5 after a penalty in the 143rd minute, where Ogro F.C.:s Nicko McBrain tricked Manchester United FC:s Edwin van der Sar with a difficult ball by the left post. The goalkeeper, Edwin van der Sar, was totally fooled by Ogro F.C.'s Adelino Antunes, who 146 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ogro F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
