The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Robert Haegg might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ellis Schenck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robert Haegg ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Haegg in the 8th minute of play forced Zlatan BK's goalkeeper Ellis Schenck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Robert Haegg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ARedonditos de Ricota CFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Robert Haegg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute Robert Haegg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ellis Schenck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ubaldo Padro got free with Xie Bang Ang in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The throw-in from Victorino Edorta in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Zlatan BK's Uygar Orhan. Ubaldo Padro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xie Bang Ang having to make a save. With a little luck, ARedonditos de Ricota CFK's Xie Bang Ang got control of the ball when Ubaldo Padro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ellis Schenck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Haegg, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If Ubaldo Padro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Haegg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ellis Schenck having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robert Haegg to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Ubaldo Padro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xie Bang Ang was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Zlatan BK made a substitution. Danell Mackiathan replaced Uygar Orhan. Zlatan BK's Karl-Oskar Kinnman was substituted for Mariusz Kloczko. ARedonditos de Ricota CFK made a substitution. Emilio Gonzales replaced Jonas Paz. The supporters of ARedonditos de Ricota CFK booed when Zlatan BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per Hägglund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ellis Schenck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Berasko, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. That meant the players faced another 30 minutes of extra-time.

The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. Zlatan BK's Danell Mackiathan started the play with his kick off. Xie Bang Ang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danell Mackiathan in the 100th minute of play. Xie Bang Ang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Oskar Kinnman in the 103rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Florentino Berasko in the 108th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ellis Schenck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Xie Bang Ang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danell Mackiathan in the 109th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Carl Beck in the 112th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ARedonditos de Ricota CFK's Daniel Isăceanu. After a defensive mix-up in ARedonditos de Ricota CFK's zone, Danell Mackiathan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xie Bang Ang came out of the goal and Danell Mackiathan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Everyone could clearly see that both ARedonditos de Ricota CFK's and Zlatan BK's players was becoming tired in their legs when ARedonditos de Ricota CFK's Florentino Berasko did the kick off in the second half of the overtime. In the 121st match minute, Zlatan BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per Hägglund to maneuver through the defense. ARedonditos de Ricota CFK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benjy Muller in the 124th minute. The ARedonditos de Ricota CFK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
