In the 12th minute Afonso da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 minutes Made in Paraguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Xande Campbell who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's corner Xande Campbell fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Oscar Cordoba quite easily take care of the ball. Oscar Cordoba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ. If Afonso da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manuelo Onil kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Oscar Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Vilmar Heidemann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Ludomil Ziomkowski made a huge save. After the first half CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afonso da Cunha was the one to do the kick off. Liviu Terzian was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 51st minute. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
