Marioara Matei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Korneliusz Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 21 played minutes U21 Romania got a freekick which was hit by Dan Braru. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tiberiu Zgârcu in the 23rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Tudor in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Peter saved Batalionul U23 Dorobanti from getting behind. Flavio Peter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Tudor in the 42nd minute of the match. Robert Tudor who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Flavio Peter when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Flavio Peter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Braru in the 51st minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Tudor came free, but Flavio Peter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Tudor in the 60th minute of play forced Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Flavio Peter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Tudor might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavio Peter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robert Tudor ran back to his position shaking his head. 75 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Tudor came free, but Flavio Peter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rikki Doro hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Ignacio Gotzon hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goal looked a bit too open when Petre Petrean came free, but Flavio Peter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Peter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Tudor in the 86th minute of the match. The supporters of U21 Romania booed when Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Korneliusz Barna didn't get a good kick on the ball.
