Fritz Erserman kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. IFK Ranger's Harry Drewitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save IFK Ranger from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, IFK Ranger's Stig Rosendal got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Stig Rosendal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. Fritz Erserman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jóhan Løkin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. After 24th play minutes Óli Hansen shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Harry Drewitz and just under the crossbar into goal. Jóhan Løkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vidar Lustig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. IFK Ranger's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Óli Hansen scored to the left of an out of position Harry Drewitz, making the score, 2-0. Enok Hansen hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Jóhan Løkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fritz Erserman in the 42nd minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Isac Blixt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IFK Ranger's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Faroe Islands the free kick. The supporters of U21 Faroe Islands booed when IFK Ranger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Blixt didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Óli Hansen to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes IFK Ranger got a freekick which was hit by Fritz Erserman. Óli Hansen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Drewitz having to interfere. In the 56th minute, John Olsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Stig Rosendal managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Ranger's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig Rosendal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jóhan Løkin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 62nd minute, Jákup Eliasen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Olsen hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vidar Lustig in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jóhan Løkin saved U21 Faroe Islands from getting behind. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Faroe Islands's goalkeeper Jóhan Løkin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Harry Drewitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jón Pauli Samuelsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, U21 Faroe Islands could leave the field as winners, despite IFK Ranger having more of the ball for most of the match.
