ADM Taquaras's Jeremias Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Seco in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute of the match Floresta Negra FC got a corner. ADM Taquaras's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jerzy Zjawin ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 11th minute Andy Cole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremias Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Seco in the 16th minute of the match. Radowit Dziuma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Egun Pais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 24th minute of play. Clemente Moura made in the 27th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ADM Taquaras's Herberto Ribas. Egun Pais stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oliver Bierhoff's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. ADM Taquaras's Jeremias Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Cole in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute, Daniel de Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ADM Taquaras made a substitution. Áron Bódog replaced Wágner Leme. The supporters of ADM Taquaras booed when Floresta Negra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gernando Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, ADM Taquaras's Malcolm Westerberg tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Áron Bódog managed to get in a good position for a shot. ADM Taquaras's supporters rose to their feet, but Áron Bódog was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egun Pais breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The whistle blew for the end of the second half and the match was still tied. The players were able to take a short break before lining up again for extra-time.

Juan Torrent struck a weak shot in the 101st minute. Egun Pais didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ADM Taquaras. Egun Pais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Torrent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With the score at 0-0, the referee blew for the end of the half. The players got a few minutes to recover before they had to start the second half of extra-time.

The players looked a little tired but resolute before the second half of the overtime, where Áron Bódog took the kick off. In the 117th match minute, Floresta Negra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerzy Zjawin to maneuver through the defense. Egun Pais stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Áron Bódog's shot from short distance in the 119th minute. Jeremias Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Seco in the 120th minute of the match. Egun Pais made a fantastic save in the 126th minute, when Áron Bódog sent off a good shot on target. ADM Taquaras's Jeremias Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Lewandowski in the 127th minute of play. Jardel Lewandowski hit a great freekick 128 minutes into the match. In the 129th minute of the match Daniel de Godoi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Egun Pais skillfully saved the ball. Jeremias Moreno came out of the goal in the 132nd minute to try and stop a shot by Floresta Negra FC's Jardel Lewandowski. But to his dismay, Jardel Lewandowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0.
