Marcus Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as £øs ρєłαdєirøs ®™'s Cecilio Fliz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfonso Taraborrelli. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Alfonso Taraborrelli was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Dário Barral capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dário Barral really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. BOTAFOGO's Alfonso Taraborrelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cecilio Fliz in the 12th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Dário Barral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfonso Taraborrelli was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Dário Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Alfonso Taraborrelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. BOTAFOGO's Dário Britto suffered a concussion in the 22nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Dário Barral's late challenge caught a BOTAFOGO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dário Barral helped the player get up and apologised. BOTAFOGO made a substitution. Gernando de Toledo replaced Dário Britto. Dário Barral hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute Toninho Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Banaszak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toninho Madureira scored 3-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iwan Banaszak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute, Fábio Messias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaanek Oese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 31st minute, Hernani Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iwan Banaszak came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by BOTAFOGO's Toninho Madureira. But to his dismay, Toninho Madureira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Fábio Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Taraborrelli having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Dário Barral got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Hernani Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. A collision led to BOTAFOGO getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Thiago Ramalho hit a great ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Dário Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. £øs ρєłαdєirøs ®™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Dário Barral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to BOTAFOGO getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Thiago Ramalho hit a great ball.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toninho Madureira to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Cecilio Fliz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Alfonso Taraborrelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 54th minute Cecilio Fliz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Taraborrelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 played minutes BOTAFOGO got a freekick which was hit by Édouard Deloge. Cecilio Fliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The £øs ρєłαdєirøs ®™ fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when £øs ρєłαdєirøs ®™'s Damian Diegotxe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 68th minute, Nilmar Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfonso Taraborrelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damian Diegotxe's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Damian Diegotxe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Taraborrelli having to interfere. After 74 played minutes £øs ρєłαdєirøs ®™ got a freekick which was hit by Gerson Queiroz. Alfonso Taraborrelli came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by £øs ρєłαdєirøs ®™'s Damian Diegotxe. But to his dismay, Damian Diegotxe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. In the 81stth minute of the game Cecilio Fliz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BOTAFOGO's Alfonso Taraborrelli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute, Norberto Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 83 played minutes £øs ρєłαdєirøs ®™ got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Nascimento. £øs ρєłαdєirøs ®™'s Iwan Banaszak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save £øs ρєłαdєirøs ®™ from getting a goal against them. Alfonso Taraborrelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damian Diegotxe's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. £øs ρєłαdєirøs ®™ were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after BOTAFOGO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zebastian Hurtig took the corner. The corner ended in Zebastian Hurtig almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but BOTAFOGO's Alfonso Taraborrelli did a great save. Aníbal Cerezo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. £øs ρєłαdєirøs ®™ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
