Paulo Arnau scored 2-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabian Mogren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wolverhampton's Ingmar Arhenius managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Julian Urritz in the 37 minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rune Wikander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Roque Iratzeder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee showed Ingmar Arhenius the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 86 played minutes Wolverhampton got a freekick which was hit by Ingmar Arhenius. In the 93rd minute Henrik Valler suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Julian Urritz kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
