Farshid Nateghi was slow to take the kick. During this time Iran's players had a chance to rest. A very nice done corner allowed Ali Reza Abdi to score against Iona Lightfoot in KARAORMAN's goal. 0-1 after 18 minutes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Farshid Nateghi in the 21st minute of play forced KARAORMAN's goalkeeper Iona Lightfoot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dalibor Stefanovski got free with Ahmad Abedzadeh in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Farshid Nateghi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Iona Lightfoot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. KARAORMAN's Iona Lightfoot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nariman Mansourian in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 minutes KARAORMAN's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Farshid Nateghi who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Iran's Nariman Mansourian to fire away a dangerous shot which Iona Lightfoot despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, KARAORMAN's Iona Lightfoot got control of the ball when Farshid Nateghi tried to sneak it across the goal line. KARAORMAN's Iona Lightfoot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save KARAORMAN from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 63 in the game by Farshid Nateghi from a close distance when the talented Iona Lightfoot managed to make a qualified save. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Iran would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
