The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save AFC FUSION from getting a goal against them. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Karlo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Sven-Edvin Jansson took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Roberto Eztebe to make any attempt to save it. AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save AFC FUSION from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Sven-Edvin Jansson took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Roberto Eztebe to make any attempt to save it. In the 16th match minute, GuateFortín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Cerritos to maneuver through the defense. Nery Pumpido came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC FUSION's Aureliano Karlo. But to his dismay, Aureliano Karlo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. GuateFortín's Sven-Edvin Jansson got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, AFC FUSION's Guido Txindoki got a free kick in the 25th minute. Sven-Edvin Jansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roberto Eztebe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Nery Pumpido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliano Karlo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Aureliano Karlo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nery Pumpido having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Karlo in the 33rd minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 minutes of play, AFC FUSION's Germano Bettencourt made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nery Pumpido was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 44th minute Aureliano Karlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nery Pumpido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zico Zellier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Karlo in the 64th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GuateFortín made a substitution. Heriberto Correa replaced Roberto Trotta. GuateFortín's Mario Gomez was substituted for Angel Alvarenga. AFC FUSION's Wojciech Fiszer was substituted for Gabriel Diaz. GuateFortín made a substitution. Erick Braun replaced Stanyo Búnkov. GuateFortín's attentive Máximo Perrone managed to snatch the ball when Mario Sesuldo made a throw-in in the 69th minute of the game. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Karlo in the 71st minute of play. Roberto Eztebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 72nd minute of play. Máximo Perrone hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thiago Silva made in the 87th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Dawid Beckham. 89 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Edvin Jansson came free, but Roberto Eztebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Eztebe saved AFC FUSION from getting behind. 91 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Edvin Jansson came free, but Roberto Eztebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sven-Edvin Jansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roberto Eztebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
