To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ermegildo Errolan hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind TORQUE F.C.'s goalkeeper Elpidio Bilintx, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ermegildo Errolan's late challenge caught a Estudiantes de América's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ermegildo Errolan helped the player get up and apologised. Marcos Ranolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Ieltxu in the 26th minute of the match. Elpidio Bilintx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kraig Fred in the 30th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Ieltxu in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Ranolfo saved Estudiantes de América from getting behind. When Kraig Fred got free in front of the goal in the 42nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Elpidio Bilintx was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de América's Karl Van Der Veecken got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kraig Fred to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 61stth minute of the game Cristian Ieltxu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estudiantes de América's Marcos Ranolfo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 64th minute, Cristian Ieltxu made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Ranolfo. Estudiantes de América's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. TORQUE F.C.'s Elpidio Bilintx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Blăniță in the 94th minute of play. The supporters of Estudiantes de América booed when TORQUE F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Ieltxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Ieltxu hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match.

When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Estudiantes de América lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
