Francisco Raymond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Sven-Edvin Dalgren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Apolo Berto. Tellier's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sven-Edvin Dalgren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Apolo Berto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Edvin Dalgren in the 14th minute of the match. After 15 minutes Tellier's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marco Nisio who took care of the corner kick. Racing Club's Carolo Indalecio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Apolo Berto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 18th minute Sven-Edvin Dalgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Berto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sven-Edvin Dalgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apolo Berto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Dalgren in the 24th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lino Hermelando got free with Francisco Raymond in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Francisco Raymond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janusz Pająk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Tellier's corner Celedonio Gabino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Francisco Raymond quite easily take care of the ball. Francisco Raymond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Janusz Pająk in the 36th minute of play. Jürgen Ligier made in the 39th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Racing Club's Ivan Flor. Apolo Berto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Edvin Dalgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven-Edvin Dalgren in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Apolo Berto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antonio Ubarna kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Janusz Pająk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Tellier was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tinko Nonev to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Raymond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Hermelando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th match minute, Tellier was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jürgen Ligier to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Tellier getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jürgen Ligier hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Janusz Pająk in the 58th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Francisco Raymond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Racing Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lino Hermelando was slow to take the kick. During this time Tellier's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Lino Hermelando almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Racing Club's Francisco Raymond did a great save. Sven-Edvin Dalgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After 79 minutes of play, Tellier's Lino Hermelando made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisco Raymond was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Flor to maneuver through the defense. Lino Hermelando took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Francisco Raymond. Racing Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The throw-in from Jürgen Ligier in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Racing Club's Ivan Flor. If Sven-Edvin Dalgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sven-Edvin Dalgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Apolo Berto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tellier's Apolo Berto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Dalgren in the 104th minute of play. Sven-Edvin Dalgren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 110th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Apolo Berto having to make a save. Carolo Indalecio kicked well hit freekick during the 111th minute of the match. After 114 minutes of play, Racing Club's Sven-Edvin Dalgren made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Apolo Berto was left in no man's land by his defense there!
