The supporters of Los up up booed when Martin Palermo F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narcis Mustață didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, David Rodas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zäfär Güläliyev came out of the goal and Giovanni Arósio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When David Rodas fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los up up's protests and gave David Rodas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Martin Palermo F.C. booed when Los up up was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Rodas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Silvio Bazil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cahya Tomagola, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Zäfär Güläliyev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni Arósio in the 54th minute of play. Enrico Giammarino came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zäfär Güläliyev could save by the left post. Los up up's Zäfär Güläliyev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Izquierdo in the 64th minute of play.
