The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Saverio Fidele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Flores in the 3rd minute of play. Chelco FC's Saverio Fidele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Flores in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Chelco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Flores came free, but Saverio Fidele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saverio Fidele didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mateo Flores went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Laffitte in the 10th minute of play forced Chelco FC's goalkeeper Saverio Fidele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Chelco FC's Ciro Pellegrini in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dep. Morón 1947's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Pellegrini in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jack Nicholson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ciro Pellegrini struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Jack Nicholson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chelco FC. Saverio Fidele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronny Rudø, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Chelco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Flores came free, but Saverio Fidele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Jacobo Cidro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Fidele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Dep. Morón 1947 booed when Chelco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Ugutz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jack Nicholson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Pellegrini in the 33rd minute of play. Chelco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Pellegrini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute, Rogelio Fe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustavo Raymon hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Chelco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Flores came free, but Saverio Fidele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mateo Flores to make the kick off. Morón 1947 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jack Nicholson should have stopped the shot. 94 minutes into the match, Julian Silviano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jack Nicholson. Dep. Morón 1947's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Silviano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Neither Chelco FC or Dep. Morón 1947 succeeded in finding a winner during the second half. That meant the players faced another 30 minutes of extra-time.

After the break the players went out on the field to play the first half of overtime with revived energy in their legs. Chelco FC's Julian Silviano started the play with the initial kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Silviano in the 100th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jack Nicholson saved Dep. Morón 1947 from getting behind. Chelco FC's Saverio Fidele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronny Rudø in the 103rd minute of play. After 105 minutes Chelco FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Laffitte who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Dep. Morón 1947's Ronny Rudø getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Saverio Fidele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Rudø in the 107th minute of the match. 114 minutes into the match, Dep. Morón 1947's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Rufio came free, but Jack Nicholson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Saverio Fidele made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mateo Flores in the 122nd minute. A collision led to Chelco FC getting a freekick after 128 minutes play. Rigoberto Orixe hit a great ball. Stanislaw Siedlecki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 128th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 132 minutes into the match, Dep. Morón 1947's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Rufio came free, but Jack Nicholson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 minutes of extra-time there was still no winner. The players now faced the much dreaded penalty shoot-out.

In the 134th minute there was a penalty for Chelco FC. Baldomero Rufio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jack Nicholson. 3-2. Dep. Morón 1947:s Jack Nicholson showed great skill when he stopped Tomás Erasto:s penalty. Jack Nicholson had in the 142ndth minute some difficulties stopping Stanislaw Siedlecki's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Dep. Morón 1947:s Jack Nicholson showed great skill when he stopped Elberg Gažo:s penalty. In the 145th minute there was a penalty for Dep. Morón 1947. Doğuş Zühtü stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Saverio Fidele. 5-5. The referee gave Chelco FC a penalty, 146 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rigoberto Orixe, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dep. Morón 1947's Jack Nicholson. 6-5. Jack Nicholson had in the 150thth minute some difficulties stopping Rodolfo Ihazintu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 152nd minute there was a penalty for Chelco FC. Lambe Travieso stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jack Nicholson. 7-6. Chelco FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Dep. Morón 1947 for a fine match.
