In the 14th minute Aquiles Mikolas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Balendin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 16 minutes, Zézinho Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soda f c's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zézinho Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The corner ended in Aquiles Mikolas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Soda f c's Freddy Balendin did a great save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zézinho Moraes was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Ernesto Guevara SyD's Maximo Geofredo got a free kick in the 50th minute. 51 minutes into the match, Zézinho Moraes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enzo Rodriguez. Ernesto Guevara SyD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zézinho Moraes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ernesto Guevara SyD's Enzo Rodriguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho Moraes in the 54th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Ernesto Guevara SyD's Marcos Tirso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Freddy Balendin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcos Tirso went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Enzo Rodriguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ümit Daman in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute of the match Soda f c got a corner. Ernesto Guevara SyD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cayetano Beltran ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ernesto Guevara SyD's goalie and right to Roberto Restu. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ernesto Guevara SyD's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Soda f c players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ernesto Guevara SyD.
