The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Belgrano de Pibasog's Bernardo Raggio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwidon Augustyn in the 7th minute of play. If Alvaro Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the match, Huckebein's goalkeeper Apolo Santxol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Judas Verón. Bernardo Raggio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Perez in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Alvaro Perez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Raggio. Belgrano de Pibasog's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alvaro Perez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 22nd minute Gwidon Augustyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Raggio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Remigio Dolcet threw the ball into play from the sideline. Belgrano de Pibasog's Silvio Abadia quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Silvio Abadia came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Belgrano de Pibasog fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvio Abadia couldn't finish the play. Bernardo Raggio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gwidon Augustyn in the 37th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Blue Dolar took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Apolo Santxol to make any attempt to save it. Apolo Santxol was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Judas Verón capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Judas Verón really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wolfgang Dalkvist was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwidon Augustyn in the 52nd minute of play forced Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 55 minutes of play, Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Apolo Santxol was left in no man's land by his defense there! 59 minutes into the match, Huckebein's goal looked a bit too open when Judas Verón came free, but Apolo Santxol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Raggio made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Gwidon Augustyn sent off a good shot on target. Everardo Presebal hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Huckebein made a substitution. Marin Jumancă replaced Wolfgang Dalkvist. Belgrano de Pibasog made a substitution. Timo Haydon replaced Blue Dolar. Belgrano de Pibasog made a substitution. Melquiades Henrico replaced Marcel Mavrodin. In the 69th minute, Judas Verón made a precise shot to the right of Apolo Santxol. Huckebein's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. After a defensive mix-up in Huckebein's zone, Judas Verón stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apolo Santxol came out of the goal and Judas Verón tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvaro Perez. In the 81st minute, Benito Cala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belgrano de Pibasog made a substitution. Iulian Ilinca replaced Judas Verón. Benito Cala kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute of the match Eustaquio Fortun shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Apolo Santxol showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Anacleto Esiquio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Bernardo Raggio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Many of Huckebein's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Huckebein may have spent more time on the ball, but Belgrano de Pibasog were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
