Martin Grøtterud could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Silvestre Fidencio made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michal Stehno got free with Silvestre Fidencio in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Máximo Kirchner struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Silvestre Fidencio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Unidad de Matanza. Club A Independiente's Silvestre Fidencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Máximo Kirchner in the 11th minute of play. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Unidad de Matanza's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Concetto Guarrera was slow to take the kick. During this time Club A Independiente's players had a chance to rest. In the 20th minute Virgilio Arotza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Eguzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Unidad de Matanza's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Concetto Guarrera was slow to take the kick. During this time Club A Independiente's players had a chance to rest. Club A Independiente's Silvestre Fidencio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Club A Independiente from getting a goal against them. Silvestre Fidencio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Waldemar Okopny went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Michal Stehno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Silvestre Fidencio made a huge save. Jonatan Eguzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Arotza in the 34th minute of play. Silvestre Fidencio made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Michal Stehno sent off a good shot on target. Jonatan Eguzki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Arotza, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 53 minutes Club A Independiente's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Martin Grøtterud who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Bâru in the 65th minute of play forced Club A Independiente's goalkeeper Silvestre Fidencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Bâru scored 2-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvestre Fidencio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 73 minutes into the match, Nestor Bâru had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvestre Fidencio. Club A Independiente's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nestor Bâru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Jonatan Eguzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Arotza in the 78th minute of the match. Silvestre Fidencio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nestor Bâru's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Club A Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Bâru came free, but Silvestre Fidencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Bâru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvestre Fidencio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Silvestre Fidencio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nestor Bâru went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Club A Independiente players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Unidad de Matanza.
