DALO S.C.'s Isaias Perojo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Acutain in the 8th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jörn Svartengren in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isaias Perojo saved DALO S.C. from getting behind. In the 11thth minute of the game Jörn Svartengren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DALO S.C.'s Isaias Perojo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 14 minutes into the match, DALO S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jörn Svartengren came free, but Isaias Perojo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 minutes DALO S.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Salvador Musacchio who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Inter de Guayaquil FC's corner Lorenzo Acutain fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Isaias Perojo quite easily take care of the ball. DALO S.C.'s Isaias Perojo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Svartengren in the 17th minute of play. Mora Liebana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörn Svartengren in the 23rd minute of play forced DALO S.C.'s goalkeeper Isaias Perojo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the DALO S.C. defense, Jörn Svartengren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isaias Perojo. The DALO S.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isaias Perojo should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute Jörn Svartengren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaias Perojo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaias Perojo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörn Svartengren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isaias Perojo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörn Svartengren, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Jörn Svartengren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isaias Perojo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Isaias Perojo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörn Svartengren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jörn Svartengren took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isaias Perojo. Isaias Perojo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Jörn Svartengren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter de Guayaquil FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jörn Svartengren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaias Perojo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The DALO S.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Inter de Guayaquil FC were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jörn Svartengren to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Emilio Vispieres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DALO S.C. and the Inter de Guayaquil FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emilio Vispieres hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind DALO S.C.'s goalkeeper Isaias Perojo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Inter de Guayaquil FC booed when DALO S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Vispieres didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Isaias Perojo managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Inter de Guayaquil FC's Jörn Svartengren fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Isaias Perojo made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Jörn Svartengren sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Isaias Perojo threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jörn Svartengren, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 66 minutes into the game, Jörn Svartengren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Isaias Perojo. Jörn Svartengren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Éric Cantona was substituted for Jörn Svartengren. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Humberto Barragan was substituted for Lorenzo Acutain. After having played for 75 minutes, Loco Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DALO S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Loco Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute Éric Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaias Perojo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Barragan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Isaias Perojo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th match minute, Inter de Guayaquil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Inguma to maneuver through the defense. If Éric Cantona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. DALO S.C.'s Isaias Perojo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save DALO S.C. from getting a goal against them. Isaias Perojo was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Éric Cantona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Éric Cantona really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Isaias Perojo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Éric Cantona in the 96th minute of the match. Inter de Guayaquil FC played a much better game than DALO S.C. and deserved their victory. The DALO S.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
