Caligaris's Uljas Mäkitalo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jordy Mino, made in the 3rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Jotares's zone, Eric Cotoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stefan Babicki came out of the goal and Eric Cotoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, Jotares's goalkeeper Stefan Babicki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Cotoi. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Branco Alberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caligaris's supporters rose to their feet, but Branco Alberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan Babicki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Caligaris booed when Jotares was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordy Mino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan-Pieter De Poorters short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Stefan Babicki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Emesto Erauso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Baldes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Caligaris's goal looked a bit too open when Diaz Grandoso came free, but Emesto Erauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stefan Babicki made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Jan-Pieter De Poorter sent off a good shot on target. Emesto Erauso came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Jotares's Diaz Grandoso. But to his dismay, Diaz Grandoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With his leg Stefan Babicki managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Caligaris's Jan-Pieter De Poorter fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jordy Mino got a throw-in 32 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Vinicio Liaño. Jan-Pieter De Poorter struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Stefan Babicki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caligaris. Jan-Pieter De Poorter who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Stefan Babicki when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 43rd match minute, Jotares was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jordy Mino to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Caligaris's goalkeeper Emesto Erauso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan-Pieter De Poorter in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stefan Babicki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th match minute, Caligaris was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Pieter De Poorter to maneuver through the defense. After 57 played minutes Jotares got a freekick which was hit by Nerio Baamonde. 57 minutes into the match, Caligaris's Branco Alberto broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Jan-Pieter De Poorter came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Caligaris fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Pieter De Poorter couldn't finish the play. Marcel Vroom kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 65th minute Jorge Baldes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emesto Erauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caligaris were furious when Marcel Vroom was red carded, 68 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Caligaris:s Emesto Erauso showed great skill when he stopped Nerio Baamonde:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diaz Grandoso in the 80th minute of play forced Caligaris's goalkeeper Emesto Erauso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emesto Erauso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Baldes in the 81st minute of play. If Branco Alberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Caligaris's Emesto Erauso got control of the ball when Jorge Baldes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 91st minute Basilio Urtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emesto Erauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 minutes, Vinicio Liaño mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jotares and the Caligaris players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vinicio Liaño hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Branco Alberto was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Diaz Grandoso took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emesto Erauso. Emesto Erauso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Jotares eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
