After a rather tough play, Deportivo el Divague's Mauricio Orain got a free kick in the 11th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Deportivo el Divague's goalkeeper Guillermo Eate had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jukka-Pekka Tervo. Jarmo Joensuu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Fe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Fe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Veijo Perälä kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Guillermo Eate was a little too slow when Jaakko Kulonen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

In the 52nd minute, Jukka-Pekka Tervo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Severiano Ponc took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Jarmo Joensuu to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Orti in the 58th minute of play forced FC Kuusankoski's goalkeeper Jarmo Joensuu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Jarmo Joensuu managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Deportivo el Divague's Diego Fe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eustaquio Chuan made in the 61st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Diego Fe immediately put the ball in play. Diego Fe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Jarmo Joensuu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apolo Banegas struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Jarmo Joensuu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo el Divague. FC Kuusankoski's Jarmo Joensuu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save FC Kuusankoski from getting a goal against them. Jarmo Joensuu made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Severiano Ponc sent off a good shot on target.
