Mbaka Mbolu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. 18 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Lech Pisarcik came free, but Manuel Campens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Campens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliks Wojton, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Mbaka Mbolu might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artur Boruc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mbaka Mbolu ran back to his position shaking his head. Artur Boruc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mbaka Mbolu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Campens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lech Pisarcik in the 28th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Grzegorz Soszka in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Belgium's Wolf De Hond. 32 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Pier Kopacz came free, but Manuel Campens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giles De Wortelaers kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herbert Grom in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Campens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mbaka Mbolu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 38th playminute. 47 minutes into the match, Mbaka Mbolu notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Poland's Artur Boruc. Artur Boruc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mbaka Mbolu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Artur Boruc was left in no man's land by his defense there! 91 minutes into the game, Marek Czech recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manuel Campens. Marek Czech showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-1. Wolf De Hond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marek Czech made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 97thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Manuel Campens would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Belgium had won after a very even match.
