Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sulo Montaña in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ritchie De Smedt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. George Buturugã showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from A.J. 武磊 in the 13th minute of the match. George Buturugã showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 于强常, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Ritchie De Smedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sulo Montaña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sylwester Sobania had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sulo Montaña stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, LOI's Sulo Montaña made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kerimhan Cevher might have been able to make a better finish in the 106th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ritchie De Smedt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kerimhan Cevher ran back to his position shaking his head. LOI's George Buturugã played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 于强常 in the 108th minute of play. In the 111thth minute of the game A.J. 武磊 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LOI's George Buturugã was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ritchie De Smedt made a fantastic save in the 112th minute, when Özgür Özbay sent off a good shot on target. LOI were awarded a corner in the 114th minute after ≮王者归来≯多特蒙德's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ahmet Hamdi Ortan took the corner. The corner led LOI's Ahmet Hamdi Ortan to fire away a dangerous shot which Ritchie De Smedt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the referee signaled the end of the first half of extra-time the score was 1-1. The players had a chance to rest for a moment before the second half.

The players still looked rather fresh even though it was time for second half of the overtime. Kerimhan Cevher did a quick kick off. Ritchie De Smedt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kerimhan Cevher went, in the 121st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Many of ≮王者归来≯多特蒙德's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. ≮王者归来≯多特蒙德 may have spent more time on the ball, but LOI were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
