Shi Li received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonas Chorache came out and tried to block the shot, but Shi Li slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. Jonas Chorache made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Shi Li sent off a good shot on target. In the 12th minute, Shi Li got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Galati Harbour Cats defense, Carolo Stephen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Octavian Soare. The Galati Harbour Cats fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Octavian Soare should have stopped the shot. The throw-in from Valeriu Zdrobiş in the 17th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ♦Diabetes♦'s Isaltino Barral. Octavian Soare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carolo Stephen in the 20th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonas Chorache. In the 30thth minute of the game Ianis Man who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ♦Diabetes♦'s Jonas Chorache was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Galati Harbour Cats's Octavian Soare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carolo Stephen in the 32nd minute of play. After 34 minutes Galati Harbour Cats's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Björk who took care of the corner kick. Jonas Chorache made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shi Li in the 37th minute. Octavian Soare came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by ♦Diabetes♦'s Carolo Stephen. But to his dismay, Carolo Stephen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 45 minutes into the game, ♦Diabetes♦'s Carolo Stephen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavian Soare made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The Galati Harbour Cats players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ♦Diabetes♦ were winning 2-3.

The wind increased when Shi Li made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Carolo Stephen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Soare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ♦Diabetes♦'s Jonas Chorache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shi Li in the 58th minute of play. Octavian Soare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Stephen in the 61st minute of play. Jonas Chorache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shi Li in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64thth minute of the game Carolo Stephen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galati Harbour Cats's Octavian Soare was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Shi Li had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonas Chorache. ♦Diabetes♦'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shi Li was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. ♦Diabetes♦'s Cristiano Ronaldinho was substituted for Carolo Stephen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Li in the 71st minute of play forced ♦Diabetes♦'s goalkeeper Jonas Chorache to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, ♦Diabetes♦'s goal looked a bit too open when Shi Li came free, but Jonas Chorache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shi Li recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Octavian Soare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Ronaldinho in the 78th minute of the match. ♦Diabetes♦ were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Galati Harbour Cats's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anthon Odén took the corner. After taking down the ball on ♦Diabetes♦'s corner Anthon Odén fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Octavian Soare quite easily take care of the ball. ♦Diabetes♦'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anthon Odén in the 84th minute. The corner led to ♦Diabetes♦'s Sebastian Tercero getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The audience was convinced that Ianis Man's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonas Chorache was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. 95 minutes into the match, ♦Diabetes♦'s Cristiano Ronaldinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Octavian Soare narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Neither Galati Harbour Cats or ♦Diabetes♦ succeeded in finding a winner during the second half. That meant the players faced another 30 minutes of extra-time.

All the players looked a little tired when it was time for the first half of the overtime. It was ♦Diabetes♦'s Cristiano Ronaldinho that got to make the kick off. In the 99th minute the ball was on its way in behind Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Octavian Soare, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 100th minute Cristiano Ronaldinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Soare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 102 played minutes ♦Diabetes♦ got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Verdi. Gheorghe Ducu made in the 112th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ♦Diabetes♦'s Isaltino Barral. Galati Harbour Cats's Octavian Soare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Ronaldinho in the 113th minute of play. Octavian Soare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Ronaldinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Galati Harbour Cats players wondered just what they needed to do win this one. 105 minutes had now been played and the teams were still tied. Penalties were starting to look likely.

The players still looked rather fresh even though it was time for second half of the overtime. Shi Li did a quick kick off. Dan Petrescu went to the cornerflag to take it. 121 minutes into the game, one of ♦Diabetes♦:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. ♦Diabetes♦:s Jonas Chorache showed great skill when he stopped Dan Petrescu:s penalty. 124 minutes into the match, Shi Li had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonas Chorache. ♦Diabetes♦'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shi Li was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Galati Harbour Cats fans cheered their team off the field, for while ♦Diabetes♦ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
