Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Dacian Tilea managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jeffrey Van Craesbeeck in the 12 minute of the game. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monitor Huáscar's goalkeeper Apostol Sokolov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 16 minutes into the game, Dacian Tilea threw the ball into play from the sideline. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Chiquito Rico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monitor Huáscar's supporters rose to their feet, but Chiquito Rico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diki Doro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Zhao Sen Yang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Apostol Sokolov was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Monitor Huáscar's Milian Lopez was substituted for Johnny Nyström. 53 minutes into the match, Monitor Huáscar's goal looked a bit too open when Zhao Sen Yang came free, but Apostol Sokolov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
