The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Natã Miranda in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Selatse saved Despidida AFC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Despidida AFC's Szymon Pyrzyce got a free kick in the 8th minute. Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Despidida AFC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Mamutes EC's Marcelo Osório got a free kick in the 10th minute. Toro Martínez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magno Correia having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, Despidida AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szymon Pyrzyce to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valério Meireles in the 16th minute of play. After 17 minutes of play, Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Magno Correia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Magno Correia came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Despidida AFC's Arturo Arano. But to his dismay, Arturo Arano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Szymon Pyrzyce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Valério Meireles came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Selatse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natã Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Selatse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valério Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Toro Martínez scored 0-3 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Magno Correia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fernando Selatse made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when He Peng Zhou sent off a good shot on target. Arturo Arano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Magno Correia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Magno Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toro Martínez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valério Meireles succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 43rd playminute. After a rather tough play, Despidida AFC's Szymon Pyrzyce got a free kick in the 46th minute. Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Despidida AFC from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Toro Martínez made a kick off. Fernando Selatse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natã Miranda in the 53rd minute of the match. After having played for 56 minutes, Arturo Arano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Despidida AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Arano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Czeslaw Kopacz replaced Ancho Branca. Despidida AFC's Emiliano Velasco was substituted for Toro Martínez. Magno Correia stood somewhat misplaced when Emiliano Velasco came free in front of goal and shot 2-4 to the left of him in the 65 minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emiliano Velasco got free with Magno Correia in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Czeslaw Kopacz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-5 to the left of a surprised Magno Correia 73 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Dave Panno notched a goal, 3-5, to the right of Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse. Fernando Selatse was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pastor Tino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Magno Correia made a huge save. Mamutes EC's Magno Correia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Mamutes EC from getting a goal against them. Emiliano Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mamutes EC made a substitution. 狄凡冰 replaced He Peng Zhou. Magno Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Czeslaw Kopacz's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. After 93 minutes Mamutes EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emanuel Lucila who took care of the corner kick.

The Despidida AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Despidida AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
