Flavinho Reis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodolfo Berasko went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Bater Palma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardo Vasco was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. 11 minutes into the match, Shuspendemo's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Iigo came free, but Bernardo Vasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Platon in the 15th minute of play forced CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Flavinho Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shuspendemo's Bernardo Vasco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Shuspendemo from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the CE LAJEADENSE RS defense, Rodolfo Berasko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flavinho Reis. The CE LAJEADENSE RS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavinho Reis should have stopped the shot. Nicolas Platon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavinho Reis having to interfere. Leo Iigo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Bernardo Vasco made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Saad in the 45th minute of play forced Shuspendemo's goalkeeper Bernardo Vasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erasmo Raitin's late challenge caught a CE LAJEADENSE RS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erasmo Raitin helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when Shuspendemo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Raitin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Shuspendemo's Erasmo Raitin got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Nicolas Platon made the kick off in the second half. Shuspendemo made a substitution. Ceferino Austin replaced Rodolfo Berasko. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ceferino Austin in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavinho Reis saved CE LAJEADENSE RS from getting behind. Bernardo Vasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Saad in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute CE LAJEADENSE RS were awarded a corner. Caetano Saad went to the cornerflag to take it. Flavinho Reis didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 67th minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. Flavinho Reis made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Nicolas Platon sent off a good shot on target. Ceferino Austin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Flavinho Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Austin in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bater Palma in the 80th minute of play forced Shuspendemo's goalkeeper Bernardo Vasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ceferino Austin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavinho Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Leo Iigo hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Flavinho Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceferino Austin in the 92nd minute of play. Shuspendemo's attentive Erasmo Raitin managed to snatch the ball when Jhon Arias made a throw-in in the 95th minute of the game.

The CE LAJEADENSE RS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Shuspendemo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
