In the 8th minute Jayson Ham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salamón Del Fierro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salamón Del Fierro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jayson Ham in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, CDU Católica's goal looked a bit too open when Thommy Vuerinx came free, but Salamón Del Fierro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When CDU Católica's Tauro Fontecilla in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The CDU Católica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salamón Del Fierro should have stopped the shot. CDU Católica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Jayson Ham scored to the left of an out of position Salamón Del Fierro, making the score, 3-3. Manuel Medeleanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tauro Fontecilla in the 48th minute of play. CDU Católica were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after FC Mercier-Est's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Justino Mario took the corner. The score stood at 3-3 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ignace Bailey to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Marsal in the 57th minute of play forced FC Mercier-Est's goalkeeper Manuel Medeleanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salamón Del Fierro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thommy Vuerinx, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. A hard shot 60 in the game by Ismael Nazario Alamo from a close distance when the talented Manuel Medeleanu managed to make a qualified save. FC Mercier-Est's players were relieved. CDU Católica's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Justino Mario in the 61st minute. A nice corner shot did that Justino Mario got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Manuel Medeleanu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Leandro Marsal hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. When Thommy Vuerinx, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 78 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Salamón Del Fierro was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Salamón Del Fierro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurențiu Costandache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Medeleanu made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Tauro Fontecilla sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurențiu Costandache in the 88th minute of play forced CDU Católica's goalkeeper Salamón Del Fierro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salamón Del Fierro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurențiu Costandache in the 95th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
