In the 5th minute of the match CSD Concepción got a corner. Argentinos Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edgardo Soto Tapia ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Edgardo Soto Tapia got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rigoberto Nazario quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rigoberto Nazario made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Sebastian Felin sent off a good shot on target. Argentinos Juniors's Rigoberto Nazario proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Argentinos Juniors from getting a goal against them. Emanuel Podgoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Milian in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Rigoberto Nazario, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Argentinos Juniors's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leon Richie in the 19th minute. Sebastian Felin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rigoberto Nazario read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, CSD Concepción's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Milian came free, but Emanuel Podgoreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornelio Semeno made in the 27th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ruperto Matei. 30 minutes into the match, Sven de Zwaan notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of CSD Concepción's Emanuel Podgoreanu. Emanuel Podgoreanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 38 minutes into the game, Sebastian Felin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rigoberto Nazario was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 46th minute Eleuterio Milian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Podgoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, CSD Concepción's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Milian came free, but Emanuel Podgoreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastian Felin was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Milian in the 51st minute of play forced CSD Concepción's goalkeeper Emanuel Podgoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 52 minutes into the game, CSD Concepción's Sebastian Felin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rigoberto Nazario made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. A collision led to CSD Concepción getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Pierre Zuidema hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven de Zwaan got free with Emanuel Podgoreanu in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. CSD Concepción made a substitution. Manuel Antonio Amenábar replaced Sebastian Felin. CSD Concepción's Lucero De la Sotta was substituted for Serafín Jarpa. Lucero De la Sotta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rigoberto Nazario read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Argentinos Juniors made a substitution. Saturnino Arixo replaced Baldomero Lucila. After a rather tough play, CSD Concepción's Manuel Antonio Amenábar got a free kick in the 79th minute. If Manuel Antonio Amenábar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucero De la Sotta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Antonio Amenábar struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Rigoberto Nazario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSD Concepción. 4-2 became the score in the 92nd minute when Diego Gonzales elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Emanuel Podgoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Gonzales in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Argentinos Juniors players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CSD Concepción.
