Sebastian Felin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stepan Babich read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. CSD Concepción's Emanuel Podgoreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vadim Brondukov in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Felin in the 36th minute of play forced WWW LENINGRAD's goalkeeper Stepan Babich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 minutes, Vadim Brondukov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the WWW LENINGRAD and the CSD Concepción players grew even worse after the yellow card. CSD Concepción were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after WWW LENINGRAD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Serafín Jarpa took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Damazy Warka heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely.

The wind increased when Sebastian Felin made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as CSD Concepción's Sebastian Felin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stepan Babich. That made the score 0-3 after 66 minutes of play. CSD Concepción made a substitution. Júnior Fernandes replaced Serafín Jarpa. CSD Concepción's Manuel Antonio Amenábar was substituted for Sebastian Felin. If Huang Liang Qi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stepan Babich was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 97 minutes into the match, WWW LENINGRAD's goalkeeper Stepan Babich had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Júnior Fernandes. CSD Concepción's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
