The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gildo Nogueira during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes BRASIL.Sp got a freekick which was hit by Gildo Nogueira. Michael Fagerberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hermínio Neiva. BRASIL.Sp's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 7 minutes, Michael Fagerberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Djurgården Sthlm and the BRASIL.Sp players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Djurgården Sthlm booed when BRASIL.Sp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gildo Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Sten Mossberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Djurgården Sthlm's goalkeeper couldn't reach when José Vítor Marinho 12 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After 17 minutes of play, Djurgården Sthlm's Staffan Sandberg made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hermínio Neiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 24 minutes, Ian Martins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BRASIL.Sp and the Djurgården Sthlm players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hermínio Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Åke Forsberg in the 25th minute of play. Emerson Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Otávio Urbano's late challenge caught a Djurgården Sthlm's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Otávio Urbano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, BRASIL.Sp's Otávio Urbano got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 47th minute, Staffan Sandberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Djurgården Sthlm fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Vítor Marinho was the one to do the kick off. BRASIL.Sp's Emerson Barbosa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Charles Lundhberg, made in the 53rd minute of the game. After 55 played minutes BRASIL.Sp got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Barbosa. The supporters of BRASIL.Sp booed when Djurgården Sthlm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Lundhberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emerson Barbosa was shown his second yellow card after 59 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 60 played minutes BRASIL.Sp got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Barbosa. Fabian Smedfeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Hermínio Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermínio Neiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Fagerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. BRASIL.Sp's Hermínio Neiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save BRASIL.Sp from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, BRASIL.Sp's Gildo Nogueira got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 77th match minute, BRASIL.Sp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gildo Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. Hermínio Neiva was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Fabian Smedfeldt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabian Smedfeldt really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Yuri Aguiar hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Djurgården Sthlm's Staffan Sandberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hermínio Neiva. That made the score 1-6 after 83 minutes of play. When Fabian Smedfeldt came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Djurgården Sthlm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Smedfeldt couldn't finish the play. In the 87th match minute, Djurgården Sthlm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torsten Bammerman to maneuver through the defense. In the 89thth minute of the game Zeca Rosado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Djurgården Sthlm's Henry Ekenberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Djurgården Sthlm defense, Zeca Rosado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henry Ekenberg. The Djurgården Sthlm fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henry Ekenberg should have stopped the shot.
