David Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Meireles in the 31st minute of the match. Sidnei Dionísio kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Al-Fajuth's Édouard Mendy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitinho Siqueira in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Internazionale-RS booed when Al-Fajuth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Al-Fajuth getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Maicon Zanette hit a great ball. Vitinho Siqueira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Édouard Mendy. Al-Fajuth's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eliseu Alagoano hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Internazionale-RS's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Alagoano came free, but David Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Eduardo Furlan made in the 89th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Al-Fajuth's Ciro Meireles. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Santana in the 95th minute of play forced Al-Fajuth's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Internazionale-RS had won after a very even match.
