In the 68th minute, Ronaldo Pirani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuca Donatello during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. HollywooDogs's Gigio Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Cruz in the 70th minute of play. Celsinho Couto charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celsinho Couto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to HollywooDogs getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Celsinho Couto hit a great ball. When Luisão de Medeiros fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palestra do Interior's protests and gave Luisão de Medeiros a yellow card for diving instead. 80 minutes into the game, Sérgio Cruz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gigio Buffon. Sérgio Cruz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. If Lucas Ribéry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Régis Batista in the 90th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Palestra do Interior's Nelson Xavier got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
