Hanoi United Fg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kristvin Logason was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Vignir Sveinsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Gausdal in the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Rósant Finnlaugsson notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Hanoi United Fg's Trần Minh Phượng. Trần Minh Phượng was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 34 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when FC Barcelona's Vigur Arnleifsson fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 36th minute, Rósant Finnlaugsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Barcelona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. After a rather tough play, FC Barcelona's Lúter Óttarsson got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute Rósant Finnlaugsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Minh Phượng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Hanoi United Fg getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Lars Gausdal hit a great ball. Hanoi United Fg's Trần Minh Phượng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sírnir Bergþórsson in the 45th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lars Gausdal during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lars Gausdal hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Trần Minh Phượng came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Barcelona's Kristvin Logason. But to his dismay, Kristvin Logason quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-8.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vigur Arnleifsson to make the kick off. If Sírnir Bergþórsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trần Minh Phượng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vigur Arnleifsson in the 54th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, Vigur Arnleifsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Trần Minh Phượng was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Trần Minh Phượng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vigur Arnleifsson in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Sírnir Bergþórsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Trần Minh Phượng was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. Lúter Óttarsson took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trần Minh Phượng. Trần Minh Phượng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. 68 minutes into the match, Hanoi United Fg's goal looked a bit too open when Rósant Finnlaugsson came free, but Trần Minh Phượng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Vigur Arnleifsson made a precise shot to the right of Trần Minh Phượng. Hanoi United Fg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-12. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vigur Arnleifsson in the 74th minute of play forced Hanoi United Fg's goalkeeper Trần Minh Phượng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 minutes of play, FC Barcelona's Vigur Arnleifsson made it 0-15 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trần Minh Phượng was left in no man's land by his defense there! Trần Minh Phượng was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vigur Arnleifsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-16 in the 88 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vigur Arnleifsson in the 93rd minute of play forced Hanoi United Fg's goalkeeper Trần Minh Phượng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
