In the 20th minute Hjalmar Browald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Hägg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Lindsten in the 21st minute of play forced National Team Cape-Verde's goalkeeper Pål Sefastsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Bajenland's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Ove Sörman came free, but Emil Hägg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hjalmar Browald might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emil Hägg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hjalmar Browald ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 31st minute of the match, Riki Čapo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pål Sefastsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Hjalmar Browald managed to get in a good position for a shot. National Team Cape-Verde's supporters rose to their feet, but Hjalmar Browald was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emil Hägg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karl-Ove Sörman scored 0-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emil Hägg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Jonathan Lindsten took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Pål Sefastsson to make any attempt to save it. When Anton Vibjörnsson fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored National Team Cape-Verde's protests and gave Anton Vibjörnsson a yellow card for diving instead. Anton Vibjörnsson hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When Inge Boll came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Bajenland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inge Boll couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adriano Croti was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hjalmar Browald got free with Emil Hägg in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Riki Čapo in the 59th minute of play. Bajenland's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Hjalmar Browald scored to the left of an out of position Emil Hägg, making the score, 1-2. Wang Bing kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Fredric Melander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Bajenland's Jonathan Lindsten in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye National Team Cape-Verde's goalie prevented a goal. Emil Hägg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hjalmar Browald in the 68th minute. In the 75thth minute of the game Riki Čapo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Lindsten in the 77th minute of play. After some careless play in the National Team Cape-Verde defense, Jonathan Lindsten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pål Sefastsson. The National Team Cape-Verde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pål Sefastsson should have stopped the shot. Bajenland's Wilhelm Alstedt was substituted for Jonathan Lindsten. Riki Čapo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pål Sefastsson having to interfere. Emil Hägg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gula Piller in the 89th minute of the match. National Team Cape-Verde were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Bajenland's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fredric Melander took the corner. Pål Sefastsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilhelm Alstedt in the 97th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
