If Arnaldo Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Magne Gunnarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Queirós in the 12th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Rönnöfors FF defense, Arnaldo Queirós kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magne Gunnarsson. The Rönnöfors FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magne Gunnarsson should have stopped the shot. Magne Gunnarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Rönnöfors FF's goal looked a bit too open when Bolli Bolla came free, but Magne Gunnarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Magne Gunnarsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bolli Bolla went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Per Stenberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Holger Mattsson made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Rönnöfors FF's Bertil Hellgren got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute Bolli Bolla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magne Gunnarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magne Gunnarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bolli Bolla, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bolli Bolla was the one to do the kick off. But to his dismay, Per Stenberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnaldo Queirós got free with Magne Gunnarsson in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnaldo Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Magne Gunnarsson made a huge save. Hummerfiskarna's Hana Banana was substituted for Conrado Olayo. Hummerfiskarna's Florin Răducioiu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bertil Hellgren in the 74 minute of the game. Hummerfiskarna's Bolli Bolla was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Magne Gunnarsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With an all-out effort, Hummerfiskarna's Magne Gunnarsson threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bolli Bolla, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rönnöfors FF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Florin Răducioiu was slow to take the kick. During this time Hummerfiskarna's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Hummerfiskarna's Florin Răducioiu to fire away a dangerous shot which Magne Gunnarsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Hummerfiskarna supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hummerfiskarna would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
