When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isidoro Beltran made a kick off. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Reynaldo Abadia hit a great ball. Nildo Alcântara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pepe Santoro having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Isidoro Beltran took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Diguinho da Mata to make any attempt to save it. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cléber Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ were victorious despite being under pressure from Independiente for much of the match.
