Hias Nüssli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Maurer during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Estrella Roatan made a substitution. Fidel Cetino replaced Jose Figueroa. A collision led to Switzerland getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jacinto Maurer hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marvin Palencia in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hias Nüssli saved Switzerland from getting behind. Samuele Kunz kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Hias Nüssli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marvin Palencia in the 39th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Edgar Moreira made the kick off in the second half. Edgar Moreiras short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Hias Nüssli to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Félix Reyes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hias Nüssli. That made the score 0-2 in the 54 minute of play. Hias Nüssli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Moreira in the 57th minute of the match. Hias Nüssli was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Marvin Palencia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marvin Palencia really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Estrella Roatan's Ronald Castaneda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuele Kunz in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute Samuele Kunz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Castaneda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marvin Palencia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuele Kunz in the 74th minute of play forced Estrella Roatan's goalkeeper Ronald Castaneda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Estrella Roatan booed when Switzerland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fridolin Neumeister didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marvin Palencia. If Samuele Kunz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marvin Palencia scored 0-5 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hias Nüssli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Estrella Roatan walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
