In the 6th minute Imperio Catatumbo de Lara were awarded a corner. Fernan Erus went to the cornerflag to take it. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Fernan Erus was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wilson Amorim in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Breton in the 10th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ben Breton in the 11th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Ben Breton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th minute Imperio Catatumbo de Lara were awarded a corner. Fernan Erus went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Ben Breton heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 26th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Andrade to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute Ben Breton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ben Breton scored 1-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Ben Breton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tristan Franquis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. 37 minutes into the match, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Tristan Franquis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Moura to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Felipe Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portugal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Barreto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The throw-in from Feng Chuan Liang in the 56th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. With a little luck, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Tristan Franquis got control of the ball when Felipe Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feng Chuan Liang during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 64 played minutes Imperio Catatumbo de Lara got a freekick which was hit by Feng Chuan Liang. Tristan Franquis made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Felipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. Faustino Almeida might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tristan Franquis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faustino Almeida ran back to his position shaking his head. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Anastasios Machlas was substituted for Ben Breton. 74 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Anastasios Machlas came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Edilberto Sanes threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Daniel Pimentel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Tristan Franquis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tristan Franquis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 81st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Felipinho Amorim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tristan Franquis was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Tristan Franquis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felipinho Amorim's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Tristan Franquis was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Bartolomeu Dias capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bartolomeu Dias really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. With a little luck, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Tristan Franquis got control of the ball when Felipinho Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bartolomeu Dias might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tristan Franquis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bartolomeu Dias ran back to his position shaking his head. Tristan Franquis made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Felipinho Amorim sent off a good shot on target. Tristan Franquis came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias. But to his dismay, Bartolomeu Dias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When the final whistle sounded Portugal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Imperio Catatumbo de Lara.
