After a rather tough play, ✩ Pep Team ✩'s Gustavo Mourato got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Spase Kastrati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sultan-Mehmet Khan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. In the 7th minute Sultan-Mehmet Khan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 8 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 10th minute of play forced ✩ Pep Team ✩'s goalkeeper Spase Kastrati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. ✩ Pep Team ✩'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. ✩ Pep Team ✩'s Spase Kastrati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of ✩ Pep Team ✩ booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egbert Nijveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, ✩ Pep Team ✩'s goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Spase Kastrati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute Sultan-Mehmet Khan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, ✩ Pep Team ✩'s Arnout Reekers threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Franck Gamel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 26 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sultan-Mehmet Khan. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Spase Kastrati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Spase Kastrati. Spase Kastrati dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Franck Gamel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arnout Reekers. That made the score 1-1 in the 42 minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sultan-Mehmet Khan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gijsbert ter Kruimer to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute Jimmy Hjälm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franck Gamel in the 62nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sultan-Mehmet Khan in the 67th minute of the match. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jakov Bundev was slow to take the kick. During this time ✩ Pep Team ✩'s players had a chance to rest. Kees Mooiweer tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Arnout Reekers. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-1 in the 69th minute. ✩ Pep Team ✩'s Spase Kastrati proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save ✩ Pep Team ✩ from getting a goal against them. In the 77th match minute, ✩ Pep Team ✩ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Mourato to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, ✩ Pep Team ✩'s Spase Kastrati got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakov Bundev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in ✩ Pep Team ✩'s zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Spase Kastrati came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, ✩ Pep Team ✩'s Spase Kastrati got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Lars Meesters managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars Meesters was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Spase Kastrati breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Spase Kastrati showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakov Bundev in the 92nd minute of the match. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Spase Kastrati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ✩ Pep Team ✩'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
