Portugal's Graciano Coutinho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 77 minutes, Felipinho Amorim made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Real Llull de Reus's Sabri Erdoğan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 79 minutes into the game, Bartolomeu Dias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Sabri Erdoğan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robert Bednarek during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Robert Bednarek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tino Sobrado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Portugal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Portugal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
