F.C. Augsburg 1907's Achim Meyers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 4th minute of play. Bernhard Zukrigl got a throw-in 5 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Prophet Hamilton-Maurice. 7 minutes into the game, Chris Nygaard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Achim Meyers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bernhard Zukrigl, made in the 16th minute of the game. Achim Meyers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Steen in the 21st minute of play. Chris Nygaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achim Meyers having to interfere. Mikkel Wulff might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Achim Meyers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mikkel Wulff ran back to his position shaking his head. After 60 minutes F.C. Augsburg 1907's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Chris Nygaard who took care of the corner kick. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Achim Meyers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Prophet Hamilton-Maurice left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C. Augsburg 1907 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Göksel Müfit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göksel Müfit, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Augsburg 1907's Achim Meyers got control of the ball when Chris Nygaard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göksel Müfit in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Denmark players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for F.C. Augsburg 1907.
